After extensively lurking of these forums, I'm undecided for how to continue forward with my new project and would greatly appreciate some advice.
Let me start off by saying I can change directions for any of the parts easily with the exception of the sub. I haven't found anything that will allow me to retain what little space I have in the hatch and keep the spare, and with how I drive, I could need it at any time. :sweatdrop:
The project car is a 2011 Nissan 370z.
-Stock 6.5 in the doors (Possible 6x9 due to cutout for Bose edition)
With a spacer, I've read confirmations that I can mount speakers with a
mounting depth up to 76.2mm. Could be more, I'll confirm that tonight.
-Large/deep 1.5" mounting positions for the tweeters in the dash.
I'll have to fabricate something to hold the new ones, but basically it
shouldn't be an issue to fit larger drivers. I'm pretty much stuck with the
stock location so I can avoid the airbags in the A pillars.
Currently looking at a JL 13-TW5 in a magicbox from wickedcas
3 Ohm - 600W Nominal RMS
Pioneer DEH-80PRS - Active setup
Ideally I would rather have a double din, but nothing competes with this
deck in terms of features that I'm aware of and makes active easier?
Front Drivers:
Dynaudio Esotec 242
Hertz MLK165 - Might be too deep
Focal 165KRX2/165KRXS
Rainbox Profi
Amplifiers:
JL HD lines
ZED leviathan III - This one might be out due to the 3Ohm requirement on the 13-TW5
Audison 5.1k
Alpine PDX-V9
Open to suggestions here, I imagine I'm going to want a tweeter that is better that others off-axis due to the mounting position?
Sound Dampening will be heavily applied. I'll obviously be forced to get a new intake or exhaust to cancel the weight! :D
I'm shooting for SQ here, and music taste is all over the place but mostly classic rock.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions!
