Hopefully someone can help me overcome what is probably a stupid question. So I broke out my radio shack spl meter yesterday and decided to eq left and right channels for balance. I burned test tones to reflect all 16 eq bands on my 80prs and went to work. The problem I am having is that I keep getting different readings everytime I measure. Should I point the meter at the speakers, straight forward or up? I am also getting big swings +- 20 db's between some bands (315). Any ideas?
