Gear/Install Advice for 08 Dodge Charger SRT

Guys,

I've got a bug to work on my car audio system. Currently the car has the Kicker option stereo with Nav. It sounds ok, but I know I can do much better. Stereo will certainly be more SQ-driven than SPL, but I know good components with the right amount of power will get as loud as I need them to. Undecided on budget, thinking around $1-1.5k spaced out over several months/purchases. I already have some gear that I may keep or replace, but value is the biggest thing. I'm no audiophile and I don't plan to compete so I think mid-level gear from solid companies should do me fine. I would like to do a spare tire well/false floor install, inspired by simplicityinsound. The SRT8 doesn't with a spare and I'm running staggered aftermarket wheels/tires, so I have room to work with.

Gear:
Source unit: Plan is to run an iPad mini into a Pioneer DEH-80PRS. iPad for navigation, Pandora, MP3's, etc. Pioneer for preamp, volume control, TA, processing, CD playback, ability to go active, etc. This is a necessary evil (I'm stubborn and this is what I want), so whatever budget number I settle on will be in addition to these pieces.

Amplifiers: I currently have 2 Rockford amps from a car I had in high school/college. The big one is a power 750S, manufactured in 2002, which I had on my sub. The other is a Punch 201S, manufactured in 03, which I had on my front stage. Again, I'll either keep these or try to sell/trade them. I like the idea of similar amps for cosmetic and footprint purposes. Brock_Landers' thread peeked my interest in running 2 Soundstream Tarantula Nano 4.900 amps. Like the rest of the amps/speakers, I'm open to multiple options...

Sub: From the system mentioned above, I have an Adire Brahma 12 (Mk 2). Love the sub, but its heavy and deep and may make the stealth install a little tricky. If I stick with this sub, I would like to downfire it, with a plexi window or reverse mount it because the motor structure is much more visually appealing than the cone. Any one have experience or opinions with downfiring in a spare tire well enclosure? I'm open to looking at other options like a different 12" or a pair of 10"s.

Front stage: Wide open here folks. I will probably run active because I have that option with the HU and I like the tuning capability that comes with it. I've heard good things about Hertz, Hybrid Audio, and other components. My previous system had Pioneer components up front (can't remember the model, but they had the yellow Kevlar cones). I want good midbass and I'm open to running a dedicated midbass with the midrange and tweeter. I think piecing stuff together is cool also, like individual drivers from Dayton, Peerless, etc. All opinions welcome. I will probably rely pretty heavily on reviews/opinions from you guys, because there really is nowhere around here that sells anything other than the standard, big box car audio brands.

Rear fill: Probably none.

Install:
Sub/Amps: I would like to stay stealth/spare tire well/false floor, but open to other options.

Front stage: Stock locations are 6x9s in the door, and what look like 3" coaxials in the dash firing at the windshield. I'm open to doing different things here. Like a little pillar work, kick panels, etc. I'm not a master installer or fiberglass guy but I'm not scared to get in over my head. ;)

Sound deadening: I'll probably need to do a little in the trunk and the front doors, which I'm ok with. I don't want to add loads of weight as this is still a performance-type car...

So I sound pretty undecided on a lot of stuff which is true, but I haven't really been looking around for that long, so I don't want to lock myself into any brands/models when there may be better stuff out there.

Thanks.
