Generating ~30ms delay for Rear fill - Will these work?

I've been thinking about using my rear speakers for rear-fill for some time now - I've been reading the threads I could find and have both the speakers and the needed amplification. I can create an L-R and/or R-L signals (e.g. using an isolating transformer like this one as described in this post).
I can also bandpass the original L and R signals using my 3Sixty.2 processor before I take their difference.

The question I am struggling with is how to introduce the delay needed for the Haas effect to take over. i.e. something between 20ms and 35ms.
I know that those with CarPCs can do this easily using an appropriate plug in ... but most processors like my 3Sixty.2 offer a max delay of around 5-10ms. :(
And I don't want to take a new mortgage to fund this ... :p

So ... how about using an analog or digital "guitar pedal" delay unit? Such as the Behringer DD-400 or its analog version VD-400? At 30 or 40 bucks they seem like a solution that would fit my budget.

These seem to be able to produce the necessary delays ... but I can't find anyone using (or discussing) these (or any other similar units) on DIYMA. Either my search abilities are not that good (if so, please help me out with links) ... or there must be some good reason why no-one has used these! Could you help me out?
