Turns out the HAT L6/L1 setup I picked up for my E39 M5 won't work in the stock door location. I can probably make the L6's fit in the door, but I'd have to cut the actual door panel. I'd rather mount it in the kicks if I can benefit out of evening out path lengths.
My concern is that the driver side kick panel won't be on-axis. Passenger side kick I can make on-axis but my main concern is the driver side, as I don't want to lose the dead pedal either.
It would be fine if I crossed the L6 fairly low, but since I'm only running a 2-way going straight to the L1's, I'll be crossing the L6's at 4khz.
What do you guys think? Is that going to be a big issue?
