Noobie question guys, I just installed a new head unit in my suv and ended up with two amplifier turn-on leads one is coming from the hu's harness and the other one from the metra stereo harness adapter , i will be running two separate amps one for mids and highs and the second one for the subwoofer only.
My question is can i use the head unit's turn on lead for one amp and the metra turn on lead for the second (subwoofer) amplifier? or one for both amps?
Another question, i already have a jl audio a4300 4 channel class a/b amp that i'll be using for mids and highs , so all 4 channels are taken. Now for bass i plan on buying a second jl audio amp which happens to be a jx 500 mono amp but there's two jx 500's out there, one is class a/b which i hear is what you wan't if your goal is sq and the replacement of that one which is a smaller size class D amp , I am aiming for sq so should i go which the older version jx 500 or the 500D? would i be able to hear the difference between the two on the low notes?
Thanks for any help and suggestions!
