Been doing a ton of searching on the forum here as im planning my next system and im 99% sure that an ib setup seems like the best way to go.
Im thinking of running 2 jbl gti mkii 15's in an ib setub in 08 bmw 5 series using the ski hole in the rear seat to get the sound into the cabin.
It seems like 1d15, ae 1b15, and the gti mk11 are the top 3 subs im finding here in an ib setup and of the 3 its looking like the mkii are goint to give me the best mix of sq and spl for those time when you just need to "slam"
Question is any reason to go 12's over 15's ?
Anyone running 2 of these ib id be interested to hear your thoughts on the sq of this setup (12's or 15's) and also if anyone has metered their setup to get an idea of the potential db's they can reach.
Most likely ill reuse a jlhd1200 to power these from my old system .. from what im reading this should more than suffice however im also not opposed to switching this up.
so anyone running a setup like this lemme know how you like it and any shortcommings you dont like about it thanks
..guess i should mention im currently running 3 jl 10w6v2 in a ported box tuned to 27 hz the sound quality is very good and the volume gets very loud deep and clean however i always felt i wanted just a bit more oomph (while in crank it mood)
