Hi everyone. I started getting into car audio only this summer, and have learned quite a bit on the SPL side of things. I started over at caraudio.com, but I want more, and in the last couple weeks that forum has turned into a joke. I want to learn the SQ side. Right now, it boggles my mind how you can get sound from doors and subs in a trunk to come from the dash. I want to learn it. I do understand the basics of electrical and sound/speakers in general. Currently, here is the equipment I have:
Vehicle: 2000 Subaru Legacy B4
HU: Pioneer DEH-80PRS (not yet installed, in the mail).
Front speakers: CDT HD-62 CF (not yet installed, in the mail.).
Rear speakers: stock 6.5" coaxials.
Subs: 2x DC Audio 10" Level 3. I built the box (3ft. tuned to 33Hz, paid for design).
Amps: DC 175.4 for mids/highs, DC 2.0k for subs.
Electrical: DC power 270A alternator, Yellow top under hood, big 3 done with 1/0AWG, 1/0AWG ran to trunk.
Other: Trunk deadened with Dynamat, doors will be deadened with Audio Technix 60mil.
I realize some of this may not be great for SQ, but I know this is decent equipment, and I'm fairly certain I can make it sound pretty good, with some guidance.
I am searching around and reading the forum, but any links you guys have, any help you can provide, is appreciated.
