Happy thanksgiving sq turkeys.
Ok I have an 8inch ported alpine type r sub with a fr of 28-400. I have had it set with a subsonic x/o of 30h (24 db slope) Butterworth filter and a low pass is 70@24. So with the Butterworth filters, I believe they are already -3 db at the x/o point. While I understand not too much music these days has a lot of musical info being played down that low, I'm debating dropping the subsonic to 25h but not sure if this would really do much more for me SQ wise (perhaps a bit more low end rumble for applicable songs if anything). Is it still worth it SQ wise in your opinion or would it make any noticeable difference, apart from making my amp work just a tab bit more? Leave it at 30, change it to 25, who cares, eat more turkey, take a nap....what say you? :-)
