What is the best bridgable mono amp with 1200 rms? Looking for something made in USA with USA made components. Was thinking about Linear Power, but someone told me "they were very noisy electronically speaking" and "they lack innovation in their designs and were so completely over rated even way back in their hay day"
But have been in contact with Linear power and have been told....
"There are no parts from China, we purchase only from US manufacturers. The primary and majority of all the parts are Motorola/On Semiconductor or TI/Burr Brown parts. We design and hand build the amps here in the USA. There are NO Chinese stickers any where on any of our products. They all say PROUDLY MADE IN THE USA."
Which is really good to hear. Looking at the internals of the Linear power amps, it looks basic and straightforward, SIMPLE. Wonder how hard it would be to build something like such?
My first amp was a GS Redline 10000. It rated at 2 X 311+ 1 X 1400 Watts RMS into 1 Ohm. Seems like the perfect sub and midbass amp all in one. It sound really good to me with matching subs in a slot ported box. Are bridgable amps better for a multiple sub setup in a shared cambered box?? It seems like it would be to me just from the design (bridged circuits).
