Components quit and sub keeps pounding

Hi all,

The following setup in my s2000.

HU: CDA-9813
AMP for component: JL 300/2
AMP for sub: 500/1
sub: 10v2w6 in JL box
components: polk audio db6501
(I may consider changing the setup in the near future)

So, my problem is that when I turn the volume up on my headunit my components stop working for a little bit but the sub keeps pounding. After a couple of seconds the components start playing. I'm not really sure what the problem is but I'm think it's a voltage problem.

Another issue I have is the sub rattles the truck area a lot. I don't have dynomat in my car but I don't think it will help. Is there another product that I can use to put on the truck lid. I don't want to see the dynomat product when I open my truck.
