Does anyone tune their system to the sensitivity of the human ear?
Here is a graph of what i'm talking about.
The Human Ear and Hearing
Basically, I'm suggesting that you tune so that everything SOUNDS like its the same volume, altho it wouldn't have the same quantitative value (dB's).
Is this something commonly done? I have no idea, it just seems to be the logical thing to do. Also, this would explain, imho, why people like to have boosted bass. And i'm not talking about bassheads, in general, it seems to me like people tend to like the bass and midbass areas boosted a bit.
Well, comment, question, and flame away!
