Pickup truck front stage

Hi all,

Getting back into car audio after about a 10 year hiatus! Can anybody point me into the direction on some good threads about optimal imaging(front stage speaker placement) in a single cab pickup? I can't seem to find any good reads.

Back in the day, I had a f150 with custom kick panels and never was satisfied because the soundstage was too low. So this time around, I want to forego the kick panels and use a combination of doors/a-pillars. I have a 2002 gmc sierra.
