I was pretty much sold on the Polk MM6501 for my front components, to be paired with a pair of MM651 coaxials for my rear fill, and a couple Polk MM840 8" subs for the low end. All this will go in my 2006 Toyota Tundre Double Cab... I listen to mostly rock (classic rock / hard rock) and blues. My main focus is sound quality. I do plan to apply some sound deadener Showdown to the doors.
After browsing quite a few threads, I've added a couple other options to my list, so I'd like to get some opinions for my application. The JBL MS-62C components and the Image Dynamics CTX-6.5cs components seem to get outstanding reviews as well. For my setup, which would you recommend for me? I don't want to spend more than the Polks run ($200 or less) since that was the top of my price range for a pair of compenents.
My other questions are around which coaxials pair well with the JBLs and IDs if I go that route (for example, the MM651 coaxials pair with the MM6501 components)? Also, which subs would you recommend with the JBLs and IDs?
