We've got the new Windows 8 phone and for a while now we've had droid phones that supposedly "work with Mac, Windows, or even Linux",... So, can the software used to control the Zapco DC or Alpine PXA-H800 be conducted from one of these (or other) smartphones??
The windows 8 system is purportedly seamless between handset and PC... I'm at the crossroads of starting a 3-year plan, and deciding between a new iPhone, Samsung Gxy 3, windows 8x, and maybe palm (I've heard stirrings that palm is most maluable with respect to getting it to run older windows programs, it's like an anti-iPhone, though I know nothing about it at tis point).
Is the windows 8x my best bet for eventually, most likely, controlling (for instance) the zapco DC program and/or Alpine PXA-H800 software?
TIA!
