I just completed a minor change to my amp configuration that has yielded some very good results.
I have two HD600/4's that run the front stage. (1) bridged for 300x2 to Midbass (2) 150x4 to mids / tweeters. This set up was fine in the standard configuration with the MS8 as the processor. Then I read several articles and some members on the forums views about Channel Separation and decided to try it out.
I had to switch some cables and wires around so that each HD600/4 was now dedicated to each side of the front stage. New configuration is 300x1 Midbass and 150x2 to mids and tweets on each side respectively. I re-ran setup and calibration on MS8 and the result was stunning!
My left and right a-pillars are much more cohesive with great detail and an overall more balanced delivery. Background voicing, instruments and sound effects are much clearer. Before when I heard a cymbals "I would appreciate it," but now I can hear the crash sustained to the end of the note. The Midbass output has been enhanced by at least 25% and the Mids and Tweets perform with much less effort (IME).
This venture turned out to be very worthwhile. Just wanted to share my experience :)
