Car is a 2011 Infiniti G37 Sedan
Equipment used
Factory radio, tapped into wires behind head unit.
Rockford 360.1 processor
NVX JAD900.5 amp
I tapped into the factory wiring and ran those wires into the 3sixty.
From the 3sixty im using RCA cables to connect it to the amp.
Set up was ok..sound is getting better with tuning.
My issue is I get noise ONLY when the car is on.
Currently the amp and 3sixty share a ground. Basically I crimped the negative cables together and grounded to the chassis. Could this be the problem?
The noise is audible when the volume is at 0. When the volume is half way up you cant hear the noise over the music.
Any ideas where to start?
Should I try a new grounding point for the processor?
Can/do speaker wires get noise in them from being to close to power wire?
Like I said the noise is only there when the car is on. Off = no noise
