Clarion RCB 198 Remote sync with Head Unit

I just bought a car that has a NX509 Clarion Head Unit. It originally came with a remote. I found the same remore on ebay, RCB-198, but cannot get it to control anything. When I press the source button the head unit makes a sound, but doesn't nothing. No volume or anything else works.

Is there anything I can do to sync up the remote with the head unit? Procedure to let the Head Unit I have a new remote? Any help will be appreciated, thanks
