Ok, so I have a bunch of different test CDs, reference tracks, etc with different male and female vocals. Of course, each vocal has a different sound....some are deeper while others are a bit higher up in their tone. Most often I would listen to IASCA competition (1997 and 2001) discs and Autosound 2000 discs for the vocals in order to give me a starting point in terms of imaging/staging before I go further to analyze with music.
Does anyone recommend using any other vocals specifically or is there a certain vocal or certain track that is arguably better to listen to than others due to whatever reason. Just interested in opinions. I Think my existing tracks used for vocal assessment are pretty good (and diverse) but was curious on people's knowledge of other great reference vocal tracks...male and female for that matter.
