Best option for dedicated midbass under $300/pr

I just picked up a set of JL ZR800s that I'm 90% sure I can fit but just in case I figured I'd work on Plan B. I'm looking for something to play up to about 500Hz in a 3-way passive situation (for now). Max depth is 3.5" which is where my concern with the ZR comes in. It has an additional ~1" height from the mounting surface and I might not be able to swing the depth plus the extra clearance. So let's say I have a total of 4.25" to work with from back of the motor to highest point on the surround/frame. I'm mostly considering 6-7" drivers because of the mounting depth issues.

Rinabow W 200 X-Plain ($250) would actually be direct plug and play since I am replacing a blown Rainbow IQ 200mm driver but can I do better in terms of midbass quality and authority?

ID CX64V2 ($200) or X65 ($200), anything from CDT? I'm not opposed to canabolizing a comp set as long as the price is within my range so there is also the Massive Audio MK6 ($185) which is hear is good on the low end.

I'm leaning towards something designed for car audio to handle potential moisture issues but - Dayton RS-225 OD is too big. RS-180-4 would fit easily.
