Currently I'm running a single JBL GTO15 infinite baffle. I'm pushing about 325 watts to it with an alpine 5-channel amp. It has good SQ, bass is deep, clean and and pretty tight for a 15. According to winisd qtc is about .6 but volume-wise it can't quite keep up with my MM6501 components. The Polks are getting about 150 - 200 watts per side but hard to say because they are 2.7 ohms. But I'm pretty sure the sub is maxed out because it's only rated for 350 watts (non IB) and starts to smell a little funny when I have the volume up for awhile. :surprised:
I thought about adding another JBL and then I started modeling other subs in winisd that's when I came across the RE SEX 15. If I'm doing this right according to winisd it should be a better performer in my car (taking in account cabin gain and trunk volume) than even the AE IB15 subs would be. Running a pair of these I would get about 134 db max which is about 10db more than I get now with the single GTO and should be plenty loud enough for me . Also Qtc is about .726 I've searched the forum but haven't seen anybody using these subs in infinite baffle and how is the SQ with them?
