To begin with. I'm in a 2012 Tacoma double cab.
I want to create a budget friendly sq active system, but this being my first, i think I'm only going to go 2-way to keep it easy
But I'm caught in a rut.
I really like the idea and look of the pioneer deh-80prs. But have heard several good beginner oriented things with the ms8, but like the idea of the radio, due to space being so sparse in the truck.
I need rear fill tho, as I carry friends in the back seat often. If i go with the 80prs, could I split the front mid channels, and run to a small 2 channel amp for the rear, on a switch, so I can turn it off when it's just me, and on for the company in the back? Therefore, when I time align and eq the fronts, I will just leave the rears off.
I'm planning to keep it cheap and simple for now:
Front:
Amp-alpine mrp-m300 4ch
Dayton rs180 in doors
Vifa Ne19vtt tweeters, also in stock locations in doors
Rear:
Some cheap 2 channel amp, or another mrp-m300, but just using two channels.
Alpine type s coaxials.
Subs:
Alpine mrp-m500
Jl 10w1 (x2)
Would this be a good beginner system? Any other recommendations would be great! Lol I also have a final system idea, but don't want to complicate things.
Thanks for all help and input
