I'm thinking of upgrading the OEM front speakers with Dayton Audio RS75-4 (dash), Dayton Audio DC160S-4 (door) and supplementing the RS75-4's with some soft-dome tweeters (3/4-1") in the door sail panels. I'm planning on allowing the RS75-4's to roll-off naturally at the high-end (high-pass at approx 500Hz) and having the tweeters in the sail panels handle the upper frequencies. Also, should I allow the DC160S-4's to roll-off naturally at the high frequencies or limit them with a low-pass filter? Any suggestions with regards to approximate cross-over points would be appreciated. The speakers will be powered by the external OEM amplifier which currently provides separate outputs to the door and dash speakers.
