how good is the 80PRS from a PURELY SQ standpoint?

So i dont usually get into debates about equipment choices, but for my own car, i have had the same headunit for the last 7 years...

a good ole denford 8250 Ti...

so for my new ride, i am wondering about if i should keep it or make a switch.

i dont want to spend the money on something like a p99 or 9255 or d2 because i simply dont care or want the internal processing.

like wise, getting something like a dctz1 or other old school dead head seem like iam just moving paralell.

so i have been thinking of the 80PRS...the main thing about it being its extra features over the 8250...

i am curious if technology has progressed int he past decade that now a 400 dollar priced headunit's built in DAC etc can equal my 8250s from again, a purely sq perspective, low noise, resolution etc etc?
