Hey fellas. I'm having a little trouble with my system, specifically my sub setup. Let me lay it out for you.
I have this amp Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.
powering these two dualvc 4ohm subs
1: Alpine SWS-1041D 10" Dual 4-ohm Voice Coil subwoofer at Crutchfield.com
2: DD Audio: Mobile Audio | Woofers | 500 Series | DD Audio
(click specifications, then click 510b)
So here's my problem. When I push the bass too high, I hear a click and the amp sub stops outputting. I assume I just need to set the gain (the right way) but I just wanted to make sure I had the subs wired up right before I adjust the gain..
So, basically, I made a makeshift layman's wiring diagram in paint. Here's how my subs are currently wired.

Subs are dvc 4ohms
amp is 500w @ 2ohm, 300W @ 4 ohms
Does this make you cringe condescendingly? If so, tell me what I'm doing wrong!!!
Thanks guys!!!
