Anyone know of any free software I can download to engineer/design 3D parts?
I'm tossing around several ideas for door panels. I'm more of a "finished product" kind of guy VS fabricating an "add on" such as a door pod. It's just extremely dificult to fabricate an "add on' w/out having it disrupt the flow/configuartion/curvature, la la la of your exhisting OEM parts.
I've worked w/ autocad a little bit in school, but I'm still in the first stages of college. Nothing but Calc, chem, etc. Figured I'd get a head start on modeling parts:P
I'm pretty new to this, so it'll be a learning experience. I know it'll take some time, probably a few months if not a year to be realllllllllyyyy comfortable w/ it, but I'm up for it. I'm sure I'll be using some type of software within the next few years anyways.
Edit: I researched a bit, but there's sooooooooooo many different programs. I'm just wondering what you guys use as I'm sure our applications are somewhat similar
