About to pull the trigger on my first ever sub..JBL content

I just wanted to make sure I am doing this right before clicking the buy button..

I currently have JBL components(P660c) up front powered by the JBL gto1004. I have 2 channels left which I can bridge for about 300watts which i plan on putting into a JBL GTO804. the power rating on that sub is 200rms. Will this be too much wattage for the sub? Will keeping the gain properly set help from blowing it or should I avoid buying this sub? my other option is unbridged at 100w.. but that seems way too underpowered.

These things are selling super cheap on amazon right now I just cant bring myself to consider much else at this point, especially because I can only fit 8's in my car as I need as much space as possible.

The sub will be loaded in a sealed .35 ft enclosure. I listen to lots of metal, some of it is quite fast.. Let me know what you think of my whole plan!
