As the post title suggests; Will a Porsche/Becker CDR-210 utilizing its line level outputs, drive a Mosconi 6to8 DSP .... The Mosconi DSP unit's input range is 2v - 8v, what's the Becker's output voltage of the line level do ya suppose.
The single DIN Becker CDR-210 was a popular headunit to Porsche, Ferrari back in the mid-nineties with versions around a common face plate/chassis. There was a navigation version, CD version and cassette version all with a Sony protocol CD changer. Back in the day the series was a good to OK sounding head unit however most of the system weakness is with the external amps and speakers which triggered many owners tearing out these OEM HiFi systems. With the 6to8 DSP in the system I'm targeting using the original Becker as a head unit. The DSP will provide AUX inputs, EQ, etc. The 911 (993) interior has noticable low frequency gain... something to keep in mind.
I'm exploring a system enhancement to the optional #490 HiFi speaker/amp as installed in the Porsche 911 (993). Using the 993s HiFi options front speaker positions and door enclosures fitted with Dynaudio components, I'll end up with a front 3 way active arrangement.
