Almost two years ago i installed a soundstream rubicon 4 channel amp and after market speakers in my 2010 Toyota Tundra without JBL sound. To keep the steering wheel controls and factory look i went with a line out converter from the factory HU to the amp and all was well.
Then suddenly (6months ago)the speakers started crackling and then they would just cut out entirely. It ended up the amp circuit protection had kicked in.
I had no luck troubleshooting with my multi-tester as ground was good as was voltage. Decided to put in a different L.O.C. and things were ok for a bit.
Then the crackling and circuit protection started up again. So i bit the bullet and bought a Kenwood DDX419. Connecting the HU was easy enough but still am having problems with the circuit protection in the amplifier.
No idea where to go now. Please advise!!
