Hey guys, I'm pretty new to this stuff, I've got a 2001 jeep grand Cherokee with a pioneer head unit I picked up from Wal-Mart installed, and the factory "infinity gold" speakers and amp. I also have a kicker cvt sub hooked up to a sound ordinance amp from crutchfield.
Long story short, my dash speakers are blown (2.5 mid/high not actual tweeters) and I'm getting some weird clipping at higher volumes with the factory amp/ aftermarket head unit. So I would like to upgrade, starting with my speakers, and a new amp.
Nothing too crazy, just decently loud, with good sq, and not breaking the bank. My speakers are: 2.5 dash(can fit tweeters-3.5 inch speakers up there) 6x9 front doors, and 6.5 rear doors. Should I do some full range for the front door, and some components for the rear/ dash? Like install the tweeter in the dash, and the woofer in the rear door?
I would also like to upgrade my sub eventually but I need to start here. Thanks! :)
