Hi everyone, I have an issue that is probably quite noobish however I have 0 skill and really need some help. I am trying to install a new radio in my car but I am getting this terrible feedback every time I plug in the RCAs for the amps. Here is my original set up:
JVC KD-DV5100, MP3 head unit
MTX sub and separate door speaker amplifiers 8ga power wire, JL 10w3 Sub 12 ga wire, MB Quart front speakers, Streetwires fuse block
The new radio is an AppRadio2, I basically just followed the wiring that the previous owner used. Everything was fine when I first hooked it up, however I had the head unit sitting on the shifter and not mounted yet. Once everything was sounding ok, I placed the head unit into the dash and installed one screw. It was a bit tight getting in there, the AppRadio has a bunch of stuff hooked up in the back and the previous owner had unused RCAs and the old CD changer hook up still sitting in there. Anywho, I turned the key and this insanely loud feedback monotone beep thing came blaring though the speakers. I can't adjust the volume or anything, it's just all out loud. I have replaced the RCA cables thinking that was the problem (it is a Monster cable and I noticed that the outside insulation, not the wire itself but what it runs in, was split.) but it didn't go away. I found a bad connection on the signal wire, fixing that didn't help. I have not replaced the whole wire yet, but I think that is my next move. Any help, would be appreciated. Thank you!
