Getting better midbass out of door speakers

I've searched and maybe I was using the wrong terms but I'm looking for info on how to get better midbass out of my door woofers. I feel there's room for improvement. At least, I hope so.

I have Dayton RS 180s in the door of my 01 Sierra being driven off an Alpine PDX-V9. I have used CLD tiles on the door as well as CCF and MLV. I did not seal off all the access holes in the door. My thoughts were that the CCF and MLV would do that just fine. Should I go back and close off all those holes? Or should I look into building a baffle or box inside the door for lack of a better term?

I really like the sound I'm getting from the system. I'm just at the finesse stage now seeing if I can make things even better. The woofers are clear but are a little lacking in being able to reproduce the lower range the way I was hoping they could. I do have a Dayton RS 12 for the very low frequencies.

Thanks
