Been a lurker for a while, but now I'm finally ready to get working on this fairly basic system and installation. For now, I'm building the amp rack and sub enclosure along the rear passenger wall. Trying to make use of the air space behind the trim plastic. A few pics to get started. More to come as I putz along. There aren't a ton of 3rd gen 4Runner installs on here, so I'm hoping this is helpful to others down the road.
Main goals are low cost, retain cargo space, and SQL.
Equipment:
HU: Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD
Front stage: Alpine SPX-17REF (will make kickpanels eventually)
Sub: Polk MM 15" DVC
Front amp: Kenwood XR-4s (active X-over)
Sub amp: Kenwood XR-1s
Cabling: IXOS 1/0 ga with Kicker and Audison Connection distribution.
