I bought the Helix from a member on this forum.

The Morel subwoofer is used and the grill of the subwoofer was Hydro drip a couple months back due to the nature that I was going to use it at the time

Dsp and amp decision

I have a 2019 Mustang with stock 9 speaker system. I will be using stock head unit. I have GB10, GB25, and GS60 for front soundstage and 2 Jl 13w6 for subs no rear fill. I currently have a Rockford T400x4ad and T750x1 I could use. I want to get a dsp. My ideas are option #1 get another matching amp and separate dsp, #2 Alpine pxe 0850s to run tweeters and use the dsp with my current amps #3 get a Jl vx600/6i and keep my sub amp. What would be the best option or if someone has a better idea?

Left Midbass almost 6dB quieter than the right

For some reason I am noticing that my left midbass is almost 6dB quieter than the right, it makes no difference if I invert the polarity (in the DSP) it's just always considerably quieter than the right. My tweeters and mids for example are not even 1dB difference left to right, so I am not certain why such a large difference with the midbass.

I plan to check RCA's at the amp, speaker connections at both ends, but is there anything else I should check? The right midbass is mounted in the lower front of the door card and so aims right into the side of my leg, but even taking that into account the difference seems large.

Anything else to check other than physical connections?

New/Old School audio install - period correct

I have been gifted the following items, and was assured they all worked when pulled. I will install in my 7th gen Civic.
My budget is very limited so I plan to only purchase new speakers & a small bass tube.
Have so far:
HU Pioneer DEH-P400UB
coustic XM-3 mobile eletronic crossover
coustic Power Logic Component AMP 102 Specs: 25 Watts Per Channel Max
Alpine 4/3/2 Channel Power Amplifier 3527S Specs: 25Wx4 (RMS) 4ohms
DS18 PRO-TW120 Aluminum Super Bullet Tweeter 1-inch

I will match (buy) the speakers once the connectivity is finalized with I hope your help. I am very mechanically capable, have replaced many audio components, can solder/handle electronics, but have never done a 'from scratch' install. I will do all the work myself. I will do a bench-top test to prove the setup before install.

Please help if you know these old school items, I really do not want to damage the components.

Can you tell me if I have the signal path from the HU to the speakers properly understood?
HU->XM3|->AMP 102-->Front Speakers + PRO-TW120 Tweeters
|->Alpine-->Rear Speakers (TBD) (1L/2R) + Bass (3L+4R bridged)
*HU->Xover->Amps is via RCA jacks.
**--> is speaker signal level.

I'm very unsure about the XM-3 and 102 switches/settings etc. Should I post a table or link pics of the available switches?
I could draft a diagram in detail if best.

Basically I'm going to be trying a 2 way in my truck just for funzees. With the ap nz3 in stock dash location. Its pretty much pointed up at the windshield. I have never done that before so what is the best way to go about it.

Helix trying to blow my drivers

When I switch tunes i sometimes get a deafening pop out both mids and tweeters.

I thought for sure this last time they were goners. Tall about scarey. Not just the thought of losing the gear but the pop is almost gunshot loud. I can mute the music and it wont happen but that doesnt do much good when I'm toggling tunes while trying to hone in on tiny little imperfections.

Hi guys. Been a diy person with audio for everything I’ve ever done. Started with big stereo stuff back in the early 90s and now have mellowed out quite a bit with just some nice stuff in my rigs and a larger boat stereo system. Solstice convertible component recommendation

Hi. I'm finally getting around to outfitting my 2007 Soltice GXP with a nice system; bought the following for it around 5 years ago but never got around to installing: Focal K2 Power 165 6.5 inch 2 way components, Kicker 40CWRT121 12" shallow mount sub (will install behind passenger seat in modified factory box), a now dated JVC KWNT800HDT Nav/dvd head unit.
I also have 4 inch Morel coax that I may use for rear fill (although many on the Solstice forums say it's a waste in this car).

Amps, DSP not selected yet.

I'm thinking of buying a 2-4 inch midrange to make the Focal set a 3 way, installing the mids and tweeters in the A pillars in a custom enclosure, woofer in factory door location, and using an active crossover and 6 channel amp. I've been eying Hertz and Morel mids but wouldn't mind other suggestions.

Alternatively, I was considering using a 5 1/4 Focal as a mid (I can get the K2 Power 5 1/4 set at a good price), mounting the 5 1/4 in the doors, 6.5 in a custom kickpanel, and the tweeters in the factory A pillar location.

Or, just install the set I have.

Is there much (if anything) to be gained by turning the 2 way into a 3 way set? It would be infinitely easier and cheaper to just use the Focals as is with passive xovers.

Ultimately, I'm looking for good SQ, and enough output to overcome road noise with the top down.

As the title says, looking for suggestions for a 12" sub that will work well with 1.8cuft ported and 400w RMS. I'm limited to 1.8ft due to using a custom fiberglass box as my only option.
Must be Dual 2 ohm or single 4 ohm.
