Just finished an install in 2012 honda accord sedan that came stock with 6 speaker with no sub, no navigation. It is possible it has a factory amplifier.
Installed a hifonics brx1116.1d on two gen 3 alpine type r's in a sealed box.
Splice the remote wire off the violet wire behind head unit that i read from 2 sources online was the 12v+ switched
Spliced a kicker k series LOC in parallel with rear speaker wires in the trunk.
Everything worked great, sounds good and then...
Intermittently there is a loud constant hum/rumble that comes from the subs and lasts several seconds. It continues if i turn the volume all the way down and i cant say for certain it stops even if i turn off the radio.
I just want to make sure I have every possibility in mind before i start troubleshooting. First I'll unplug the RCAs and drive around to determine if it is signal or power.
The ground is solid, but i will try grounding it to an alternate point.
I rewired rhe LOC. I also grounded the LOC at the same place as the amp (it wasn't grounded initially as per the instructions) the loc does not take in power, it has two pair of speaker wires and a ground. It isn't adjustable either so i'm thinking i'll just order a different brand.
I'm considering the possibility that the factory radio could be sending a noise cancellation signal causing this? So far it has only happened when the engine is on and intermittently. This I wouldn't know how to fix.
I also read that remote wires can cause strange noises, but i'm doubtful. It should just be a signal to tell the amp to turn on right?
So, I am confident in the ground but will move it to make sure, and then try a different LOC.
If I find that it does have a factory amplifier should i splice the LOC behind the dash instead of in the trunk? Could that cause this intermittent noise?
Any other suggestions?

Thank you all for an awesome resource!
My system was just installed by a well respected, local installer.
Pioneer DEH-80PRS
PRS-D800 amp > TS-D1730C component (Fronts)
PRS-D800 amp > TS-D1702R coaxial 2-way (Rears)
PRS-D800 amp > TS-D6902R coaxial 2-way (Subs)
Dynamat Extreme front and rear doors, back deck and truck lid.
I am aiming for a clean, warm, rich, full, laid back sound with precise dynamics and tone. I know I have a lot going with including the rear set of 6.5s. Fronts are 6.75 component with a 1 inch tweeter ( .90)
Rears are 6x9 playing as subs. I chose all Pioneer gear in hope of synergy. Anyone else out there ever go this route? My biggest oh shucks moment so far was when I dialed in the Time Alignment.

OK, new here but, I can still do a lot of wiring on cars, but, I am a little out of my league with my current idea. I have a 3 speaker, or rather 6 speaker system in my Wagon, it's got a bass, mid-range, and tweeter each side. I also have a set of RECARO seats that I managed to cop a set of new in the box RECAROphonic head rests. my idea is to wire the system up with a switch of some type to allow me to use the dual 3 speaker enclosures, or, the head rests, or both together. Is this possible? I can do basic wiring on cars, like fog lights, simple stereos, etc, but, I'm lost as to what to do here. Can the Gurus here help me? I could hunt down whatever switch or whatever is needed, as well as read a wiring diagram

Hello, looking forward for my new stereo car system and I was wondering If I could get a feedback about the plan and possible suggestions.
Car
2017 - Honda Civic Touring.
Raw design
- Factory HU
- DSP - probably the Helix DSP.2
- Front stage - hi end 2 way system (active)
- Rear Full - hi end coaxial
- 8 channel amp.
- 10 inch sub.
Looking exclusively for SQ. Used to run Polks components + JL audio 10w3 with an Alpine pdx-5. As It may be an important reference, way more Bass than I was looking for. Goal is to have the subs to fill all frequencies, but not to overtake the whole thing.
Issues:
#1 The more I research, the more I drown. Thank to this fórum I started to consider brands like Seas, Scan speakers and that complicated the process a little bit.
#2 It is really hard to find maximum speaker dimensions. Spoke to Adam at madisound and he gave me great suggestions, however would they fit? At least for the door speakers I am looking for original fit. Rear fill does not seam to be a problem.
#3 rear deck sub sounds like a good possibility, however listen to a lot of rattling complaints.
With that in mind......
- Any info on Max size for speakers?
- Thinking about going with a Scan silver séries front stage. This would Go for around 800 usd. I consider this to be expensive, however willing to Go that far for the right speakers. Also looking over the Audiofrog GB séries. A good front stage would Go as high as 1100 usd. Are they the real deal? At this price, they corte with Morel elated. Which way to Go?
- originally thinking about a Helix V8 amp. 8x75 RMS not bridgeble. If this os the way, Will need another amp for the sub. However would eliminate the need for the DSP. Other possibility would bem the JL audio 800. + the dsp
- Suggestions for subs?
- Suggestions for rear fill. Based on speaker layout coaxials should bem the way to Go, however Scan does not look to have a coaxial. Seas, look to have the right config but I am finding Very hard to believe they would fit the front Doors.
I guess this is it. Looking forward to get some feedback.
Thank you in advance
Felipe

I have a Mosconi 6 to 8 Pro
I see that it has an output voltage max of 8 volts.
I am using a JL 300/4 which accepts 8 volts.
The JL XD6001 fits the bill for a sub amp in my setup but I see that the original has a 4 volt input (max).
The xd6001v2 takes up to a 8 volt input.
So my question is can I very the output from the mosconi per amp ? where I would be using 8 volt to the 300/4 and 4 volt to the 6001. I found a heck of a deal on the original xd6001.
Thanks

I just got a Mosconi 6 to 8 Pro. Is there a way to stream Bluetooth direct to this item. There is no Digital Input so I don't know if it will accept AMAS 2.
Not sure if this is the piece for me. I was hoping to stream direct to the unit.

Hey everybody. The enclosure that best fits my pickup has 1.6 cubic feet of common air space between two subs. Mounting depth is limited, and I've always liked how JL sounds so two 12TW3-4's seem right since JL recommends 0.8 each, and the XD amps are affordable for me, and they also offer a 6 channel for my highs. The subs are 4ohm dvc and the XD1000 is not one ohm stable so that brings me to two separate XD600's. I will be using an 8 channel processor, either a Helix or Minidsp. I've been told separate amps on subs sharing air space is a problem because they will "fight against each other unless they are set perfectly." Is this good information? I also need to know, when setting TA, would I link the channels together or TA them separately since they are different distances from me?
Thanks for your time.

Gonna to be upgrading the sound in my 15 4runner. I have morel hybrid 602's in my f250 and love them. After i was lucky enough to discover the morel hybrids i kind of droped off for a couple years. I figure i cant go wrong with the morel tempo ultra 692. Ive been through so many different setups through the years when i first heard the morels it was like instant love at first listen and ive been hooked. I demoed the hybrids and elates and honestly liked the hybrids a little better. But could have just been the setups.
But that itch to try something new is getting bad.so i am looking into the audio frog gs690/gs10 setup. Or gs690/gb15. I used to be a huge old school jbl fan. Still am i think. I know different price points the tempo ultras are about $500 , gs690/gs10 $650, and the gs690/gb15 $1100. Worth it? What say you?
Thx for the input sorry for the this vs that post in advance.
